With festival season fast approaching, we have taken delivery of yet another Yamaha LS9 for stage monitoring duties at all our festivals this year. This last addition to our already extensive list of equipment keeps us up to date with the demands of professional touring bands requiremnets that analogue can not reach. Expect to see this in use at all of our festivals.

MACKIE UPGRADE

At Cannock Sound Hire we are always upgrading our systems to keep up with modern technology and the demands of our clients. We have recently upgraded our Mackie system with the addition of 2 x Mackie 1801 powerd subs. These have enabled us to provide a low cost, high quality PA for clients requireing extra bass at their events without having to use one of our much larger systems. We look forward to using this system in the coming months ahead.

Cannock Sound Hire & KV2 ES

We recently provided all sound duties at the Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford, for the "Complete Beatles". The show was a complete success with a near sell-out audience. We used a Yamaha LS9-32 with a KV2 - ES system with delay speakers. Our monitors were our own brand for which we provided a 5-way monitor mix. We look forward to returning to the Gatehouse later this year with more shows. A big thank you to all the technical crew at the Gatehouse especially Mark & Shaun.

RADIAL JDX

We have recently purchased a complete Radial JDX system for our PA hires. This system allows us to take a signal from any guitarist or bass players amplifier output and add cab emulation before being put through our systems. This helps us give us the big guitar sound that musicians crave for. Contact us for more details on this,

WHEELS OF FIRE

Cannock Sound Hire provided all the PA and monitoring for the excellent band, "Wheels Of Fire" at the Moat House Hotel, Tamworth.
Wheels Of Fire are a four piece band featuring Phil Bates from ELO Part 2 / The Orchestra (lead guitar and vocals), Mark Stanway (keyboards), Brian Badhams (bass and vocals) and Clive Bunker (drums). Support came from Tina McBain & Pete Smith aka "The Raconteurs".

COMPTON IN THE PARK

Cannock Sound Hire was proud to supply and manage all PA & L.E.D lighting at West Park Wolverhampton for "Compton in the Park", on Sunday 20th June, 2010.

The day was a great success and raised over £20'000 for Compton Hospice. With over 5000 people at the event, our equipment managed perfectly. The audience were treated to the sight and sounds of many acts throughout the day including DC Fontana, Born Again Beatles, Amanda Greenwood and The Town.

Working closely with 107.7 the Wolf we ensured that the day’s music events went well and sounded great.

We would like to say a big thank you to all at Compton Hospice, 107.7 The Wolf and all the artists who performed during the day.

STRATSTONE JAGUAR - WALSALL TOWN CENTRE

Cannock Sound Hire were pleased to supply all PA equipment to Stratstone Jaguar, Wolverhampton during their St. George's day celebration in Walsall Town Centre. WOLF FM, ST. GEORGE'S DAY

107.7FM The Wolf and Cannock District Council chose Cannock Sound Hire to supply and manage a sound system for use in the town centre of Cannock for its Saint Georges day celebration. With Wolf FM DJ Dicki Dodd as the host for the days events and CSH providing the sound system, the day was a great success.

JOBEKY CUSTOM DRUM FESTIVAL 2010

Cannock Sound Hire are pleased to announce that for the 2nd year running, we have been chosen to provide and manage all PA duties at the Jobeky Custom Drum Festival on Sunday 2nd May, 2010 at the County Showground, Stafford. Last years event was a huge success for all those involved and this year prmoises to be even bigger with a larger venue and even more companies showing their products and more drum clinics from some of the worlds leading drummers. LIONEL RICHIE - PRE-PRODUCTION

Cannock Sound Hire are proud to have been chosen as the supplier for all sound and light requirements for The Lionel Richie Experience.

Featuring James Alexanda as Lionel Richie, this five piece tribute band will be begin performing early 2010. There show will also be featuring our USB to DMX lighting system with syncronised light show. For their pre-prodution we supplied and managed a 6K F.O.H PA and a 5 way monitor mix including 2 sets of in-ear monitoring. We look forward to working with The Lionel Richie Experience.

COMPTON HOSPICE

On Friday 6th November, 2009, Cannock Sound Hire were proud to sponsor Compton Hospice at their annual fundraising show at the Pavilion, Stafford Road, Wolverhampton. We provided and managed a 1K F.O.H PA with 3 way monitor mix. The event saw performances from local singers, a comedian, magician and the Born Again Beatles. The finale act of the night was Craig Halford as Meat Loaf. The event raised over £2200 for Compton Hospice

DC FONTANA

During October, Cannock Sound Hire were proud to supply and manage all PA and monitors for DC Fontana at their show in Pelsall, Walsall. We provided a 1K F.O.H PA and a 5 way monitor mix. We also recorded the performance with our Yamaha LS9.

We look forward to working with DC Fontana again in the near future.

JOBEKY DRUM FESTIVAL

After a 7am start at the Three Counties Show Ground in Stafford, the Jobeky Drum Festival 2009 was underway. Some of the worlds top drummers were flown in for this event from all over the world including Karl Brazil, Cobus, Robin Guy and many more. We installed and managed a 6K system with a 1K monitor rig. We also ran alongside the video production team and supplied a live audio mix during the performance.

CHASE ROCKS 2009

On Thursday 2nd July we provided and managed the sound for Chase Rocks at the Prince Of Wales Theatre, Cannock. We also provided the stage management team.

Our brief was to provide a 6K PA with 6 way monitor mix, all monitors, microphones, stands, leads etc.. and to engineer the event. With a crew of 5 we set up during the afternoon and EQ our PA to the room. We added a 1K side-fill system to the monitor set up to help assist the artists. An extra mic was added off stage for the artists to be announced with.

Our stage management team assisted the artists between performances and ensured that the event ran smoothly. We provided background music between acts and recorded the performance using our desk's built in digital recorder.

EVENTUROUS

On Saturday 6th June, 2009, Cannock Sound Hire provided and ran all the sound systems for Eventurous. This event was a team building weekend for Balfour held at Middleton Hall Farm. The event took in many events and finished with a DJ and the 4 piece band "The Farrahadays" performing live in a marquee.
Cannock Sound Hire provided and operated a 6K rig with full mic up of the band with a 4 way monitor mix. We also recorded the bands performance for their reference.

STAGING

We have just added our new staging department to our already impressive hire stock. From summer 2009 we will be taking bookings on all forms of staging. This will include Cat Walks, Drum Risers, Trussing, Canopies, Support Legs, Winches, Drapes, Stairs, Ramps and Handrails.

We will be updating this web site with details of these.

Tommy Docherty
Cannock Sound Hire recently supplied and engineered a PA for guest speaker Tommy Docherty at Hednesford Town FC. The night was a great success with comedian Ian 'Sludge' Lees. The night was introduced and compared by Steve Welch.
For this event we used our Mackie PA, Yamaha O1/V, Sennheiser UHF radio mic and a CD player.

LIGHTS

We have now added a lighting rig to our hire list. We have updated our hire rates and options to suit. The lighting rig comes with control desk and crew who can operate them. The lighting rig is ideal for music and corporate events. Check out the video page for examples of what they can do.

RIG 2 ADDED

At Cannock Sound Hire we have now added a smaller rig to our choice of equipment hire. We are proud to now offer a 1K system which is more compact and better suited for smaller venues or where our larger rig is too large. For more information, check out our PRICE page.
